Leeches
Our leeches come from the ponds and waters of northern, Minnesota - the
most
bountiful location for leeches in the world. More than 25 years of
experience in live
leech handling help us bring you clean, well cared for, lively,
attention grabbing, fish
snatching leeches.
We
have leeches available in
three sizes - Jumbo, Large, and Mediums.
This year,
we're also offering a mixed bag of large and mediums. They're a little
bit cheaper
than the large leeches, and you'll get a mix of all different sizes.

the cabin with the family!

past, many people have gathered their friends together to share the
leeches and the
cost. We're all about building community around the sport of fishing!
What
is the minimum order?
The least we can ship at one time is one pound of any size. However we
can ship you up to ten pounds - saving you even more money.
Buying leeches by the pound can save you up to $15 on a
single pound, when compared to buying by the cup.

How
many leeches are in a pound?
This depends on the environment, and weather changes from year to year.
However, Jewell
leeches are usually in the ball park of:
Jumbos: 9-11 Dozen per Pound
Large: 13-16 Dozen per Pound
Mediums: 17-19 Dozen per Pound
Recession: 15-18 Dozen per Pound
*Leeches
are typically available
from
late April through mid to late July depending on the
weather.

Think
about it - a pound
of large leeches
with 14 dozen will bait your hook at least 168 times. At $28 per pound
that is only about 16 cents every time you bait that hook.
